Communications Officer

We are seeking a Communications Officer to support a busy project and stakeholder engagement team delivering multiple infrastructure and community-focused initiatives across the region. This role provides essential communications and engagement support, helping the team meet key project commitments and ensuring clear, consistent communication with stakeholders and the broader community.

This position is ideal for someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and confident producing high-quality written content while assisting with low-risk stakeholder engagement activities.

What you’ll be doing
  • Preparing well-written communication materials including correspondence, flyers, updates, and social media content
  • Supporting stakeholder engagement activities for low-risk projects
  • Developing and updating project webpages and preparing analytics reports
  • Creating and maintaining internal webpages 
  • Managing project flyer production and distribution
  • Drafting responses for low-level stakeholder enquiries
  • Maintaining and updating correspondence tracking tools
  • Sourcing and entering stakeholder contact information, lot numbers, and related data into spreadsheets and consultation management systems
  • Assisting with, or attending, stakeholder meetings alongside Engagement Officers

What you’ll bring
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, professional materials
  • Confidence interacting with community members on straightforward or low-risk matters
  • Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment
  • Previous experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, community relations, or a similar field (highly regarded)
This role will be offered as a contract until August 2026.
