Director, Security Standards

Location: Brisbane (1 day WFH per week)
BLACKROC is proud to be partnering with a large scale client for a Director, Security Standards on a short-term contract through to March 2026.
  
Role Purpose
This senior leadership role is responsible for establishing and leading a new Security Standards Unit that will shape security, electronic security, and operational technology governance across high-risk environments.
  
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Security Standards Unit and build a high-performing team
  • Develop governance frameworks, protective security policies, and OT cyber standards
  • Drive cyber security attestation and risk frameworks for critical systems
  • Establish infrastructure design standards for security-critical facilities
  • Represent the organisation in working groups and committees
  • Collaborate with internal teams on upgrades, maintenance, and security projects
  
Required Skills & Experience
  • Extensive experience with complex electronic security systems in high-risk environments
  • Senior leadership experience building teams
  • Strong background in security governance, OT cyber, and high-risk operations
  • Proven ability to lead major technology or infrastructure programs
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  
Highly Desirable
  • Degree in Electronic, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering
  • PLC/automation or cyber certifications
  • Project management qualifications
