IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist to provide advanced ICT support and lead Tier 1 operations. You will act as the escalation point for complex incidents, mentor ICT staff, and drive improvements across systems, processes, and service delivery.

This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, secure, and collaborative ICT environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and support across desktop, mobile, Microsoft 365, networking, and enterprise systems.
  • Lead Tier 1 ICT support services, ensuring incidents and service requests are resolved efficiently.
  • Act as the escalation point for complex incidents and manage stakeholder expectations during service disruptions.
  • Mentor and coach ICT officers to build team capability and enhance service delivery.
  • Contribute to ICT projects, including technology rollouts, upgrades, and process improvements.
  • Analyse trends, generate reports, and recommend system, process, or service enhancements.
  • Maintain compliance with ICT policies, security standards, and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Manage and administer application whitelisting, ensuring secure access to approved software across the organisation.
  • Liaise with senior ICT teams, vendors, and business units to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Skills & Experience
  • Extensive ICT support experience in complex organisational environments.
  • Advanced technical skills across multiple ICT domains including desktop, mobile, Microsoft 365, networking, and enterprise systems.
  • Strong expertise in application whitelisting, endpoint remediation, and security controls.
  • Leadership and mentoring experience within ICT teams.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, VMware) highly desirable.
