BLACKROC is working with a well-established local organisation to recruit a
Service Desk Technician into their internal technology team. This is a
permanent role based in
Brisbane, ideal for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality support and wants to grow in a stable, expanding business environment.
Please note: This role is 100% onsite at the organisation's Brisbane office.
Role Purpose In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for IT support, assisting users across the business and helping to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. You'll gain exposure to a Microsoft-focused environment and play a key role in supporting users both technically and professionally, with real opportunities to grow your skills and career over time.
Key Responsibilities - Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support to end users
- Troubleshoot issues across Windows, Office 365, and other Microsoft platforms
- Manage tickets through the internal ITSM tool and escalate as needed
- Assist with hardware setup, configuration, and general IT maintenance
- Work collaboratively with the internal IT team to maintain systems and services
- Deliver clear and timely communication to non-technical stakeholders
Required Skills and Experience - 1–3+ years experience in an IT Service Desk or Helpdesk role
- Knowledge of Microsoft technologies – Windows OS, Office 365, Active Directory
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT support processes
- Ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
Desirable - Exposure to Azure AD, Intune, or Teams administration
- IT certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA, etc.)
- Experience in internal IT within medium to large organisations
