Position Purpose KCA Site Services is on the move. We've grown fast across Recruitment, Equipment Hire and Mining Projects, and with a major growth under way, we're ready for an operational leader to help us take the next big step.
The Opportunity This is a rare chance to join a successful founder-led business at exactly the right moment. As Executive General Manager, you'll lead day-to-day operations and strategy execution across the group, working through our business unit heads to deliver safe, reliable service and profitable growth.
Reporting to the Managing Director, you'll work hand in hand with the CFO on budgets, reporting, cash flow and investment decisions. You'll own operating performance and lead the operational integration of our acquisitions. Responsibility and decision-making authority will transfer to you progressively through a structured handover, so you'll build genuine ownership with the right support behind you.
Most importantly, you'll build the people, systems and accountability that will take this business to its next stage of growth.
What You'll Do Make strategy happen
- Turn group strategy into clear business unit and functional plans with named owners
- Run monthly accountability meetings and quarterly business reviews, and step in early when commitments slip
- Build practical systems that fit our industry and our scale, without bureaucracy for its own sake
Lead and lift our business units - Lead, coach and hold managers accountable for budgets, service delivery, customers and improvement
- Lift commercial performance, operating discipline and leadership capability in Recruitment
- Cut through issues that span business units
Drive commercial results - Partner with the CFO and managers on budgets and forecasts
- Push margins, contract profitability, labour productivity and equipment utilisation
- Strengthen cash generation through operating discipline, timely billing and smart use of people and assets
Grow the group - Lead sales execution, including cross-referrals and joint offerings across the group
- Broaden senior customer relationships across every part of the business
- Grow profitably in underground markets and build the case for expansion, in new service lines
About You You're a proven operator who loves building things, backs your people and isn't afraid of a hard conversation. You'll bring:
- Senior operations or general management experience in mining services, contracting, labour hire or equipment hire
- A track record of leading multiple business units to strong budget, service and safety outcomes
- Sharp commercial and financial acumen across margins, contracts, utilisation and cash
- Experience integrating and leading significant business change
- A strong safety leadership record, including critical risk and incident management
- The ability to set up practical operating rhythms, reporting and systems that help rather than hinder
- Direct, fair people leadership and the confidence to address underperformance
- Credibility with clients and the drive to open up new relationships and markets
