Strategy Manager - Wealth Product

Strategy Manager
The Opportunity:
This FinTech builds software that underpins the delivery of financial advice across Australia. Its Wealth platform is deeply embedded across the industry and used by everyone from major banks to independent advisers.

The business has real scale, strong market share, and a product suite with deep reach across the wealth ecosystem.

The challenge now is strategic. How the business evolves, where it invests, how it prices, and what the next phase of growth should look like.

To help shape that, we’re hiring a Strategy Manager.

The Role:
  • This is a hands-on strategy role working across the APAC wealth product business.
  • The focus is on helping define strategic priorities, assess growth opportunities, support investment decisions, and more closely connect strategy to execution across market, product, commercial, and operating model decisions.
  • This is not a pure deck-building role. It needs someone who can structure problems effectively, work with data, formulate clear recommendations, and help translate strategy into action.
  • You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders across the business and play a visible role in shaping the next phase of growth for one of the most established platforms in the local market.
What you’ll be doing:
  • Support the development of strategy across the Wealth APAC business
  • Lead workstreams across growth, pricing, product strategy, and operating model questions
  • Use market, customer, competitor, and internal business insight to inform decisions
  • Build analysis, recommendations, and business cases to support investment prioritisation
  • Help connect strategic planning to execution across the business
  • Prepare clear strategy papers, leadership updates, and presentation material for senior stakeholders
What We’re Looking For:
  • Strong, structured problem-solving capability
  • Comfortable working with data, analysis, and insight to shape recommendations
  • Commercially sharp, with a good grasp of business drivers and trade-offs
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work through ambiguity and bring clarity to complex questions
  • Good stakeholder skills and the confidence to work with senior leaders
  • Practical in approach, not just strong in theory or slide creation
This role could suit someone coming from MBB or Big4 consulting, corporate strategy, commercial strategy, or a similar in-house strategy role who wants broader ownership and closer proximity to decision-making.
