The Role We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to lead the day-to-day finance function across Lucas Collective. This is a senior, hands-on finance leadership role for an accomplished Finance Manager with demonstrated experience leading both a finance function and team within a complex, fast-paced business.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will take ownership of financial control and accounting operations, cashflow and working capital, budgeting and forecasting, statutory compliance, performance reporting and commercial analysis.
A key focus of the role is leadership. You will lead and develop the finance team, setting clear expectations and driving high standards of performance, accountability, accuracy and quality.
You will also act as a key finance partner to our operational leadership team, translating financial performance into clear commercial insights and actions across the business.
Key Responsibilities - Lead, manage and develop the finance and commercial reporting team, fostering a high-performance and accountable culture
- Own the general ledger, month-end close and timely delivery of accurate management accounts
- Lead cashflow and working capital management, including rolling forecasts and liquidity management
- Lead annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting across the business
- Maintain strong financial controls, balance sheet integrity and statutory compliance
- Deliver weekly and monthly financial and performance reporting across our restaurant portfolio
- Provide detailed analysis across revenue, labour, food and beverage costs and other key operational drivers
- Partner with senior operational leaders to identify performance opportunities and drive corrective action
- Continuously improve financial systems, controls, reporting and processes
About You You are an established Finance Manager with a strong track record of leading both the finance function and the people within it. You are technically strong, commercially minded and comfortable taking ownership in an environment where pace, accuracy and accountability matter.
You will bring: - CA or CPA qualification - mandatory
- Demonstrated experience operating at Finance Manager level within a complex business
- Strong experience leading, developing and holding a finance team accountable
- Hands-on experience across month-end, financial control, cashflow, budgeting, forecasting and statutory compliance
- Strong commercial and analytical capability, with the confidence to influence senior operational stakeholders
- Previous experience within hospitality is highly desirable, particularly within a multi-site restaurant or venue environment. Experience in a comparable multi-site consumer business will also be considered
- Experience with NetSuite or a comparable ERP
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability
