About Yakimono:
A creative tribute to the corruptible side of Japanese cuisine, Yakimono is an exuberant inner-urban Japanese eating house in the heart of the CBD. The colourful and high energy Yakimono joined the LUCAS family in late 2021 in the newly developed 80 Collins precinct, next to the much anticipated Society Restaurant.
About the Opportunity:
We are looking for Kitchen Hands who possess a positive and motivated work ethic at all times.
Main Role Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchen equipment and work areas
- Provide assistance to the Chefs
- Keep up with volume dishes while operating an industrial dishwasher
Experience, Skills & Attributes: - Previous experience as a Kitchen Hand
- Experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment advantageous
- Demonstrated organisational, time management skills
- Must be able to endure the repetitive and physically demanding nature of the role
- Available to work a rotating roster, including days, nights, weekends and public holidays
- OHS, food hygiene & safety understanding
- Excellent communication & presentation
- Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team
- Possess a positive “can do” attitude
