Support Worker

Whether you’re assisting with personal care, supporting mental health needs, or helping someone navigate their daily routine, your work will have a direct and lasting impact. It’s about the small moments that matter encouraging progress, building trust, and helping someone feel genuinely supported.

In this role, you will be supporting participants with a range of needs including personal care, psychosocial disability, and behaviours of concern. Success in this position requires a calm, consistent, and person-centred approach, with a strong focus on building rapport while maintaining professional boundaries.
  
We’re seeking someone who:
  • Has experience with personal care and manual handling
  • Has experience supporting individuals with mental health presentations (e.g. anxiety, depression, psychosocial disability)
  • Has experience managing behaviours of concern using positive, proactive strategies
  • Demonstrates strong documentation and report-writing skills
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport while maintaining professional boundaries
  • Shows cultural awareness and can provide support that respects each participant’s background and values
  • Has knowledge of positive behaviour support and trauma-informed care practices
  • Is willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • Has full working rights in Australia
  • Holds a valid P2 or Open driver’s licence and has access to a reliable, insured vehicle (travel across Greater Brisbane required)
  • Is willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
  • Is open to completing required NDIS training modules
  • Has strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills
