As a Disability Support Worker at Kanda, you’ll support individuals with complex behavioural needs to build independence, strengthen life skills, and stay connected to their community. You’ll combine hands-on care with a calm, structured, and professional approach, helping create safe and positive environments where people can thrive.
  
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Deliver trauma-informed, person-centred support tailored to individual goals
  • Assist with personal care, daily living tasks, mobility, and emotional regulation
  • Implement Positive Behaviour Support Plans with consistency and confidence
  • Support community access, appointments, and development of everyday life skills
  • Work closely with families, allied health professionals, and your team
  • Maintain clear, accurate documentation to ensure high-quality care
  • Create a safe, structured, and supportive environment for each client
We’re seeking someone who:
  • Has experience supporting individuals with complex behaviours and implementing behaviour support strategies
  • Is calm, resilient, and able to maintain strong professional boundaries
  • Is willing to obtain a Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance
  • Has full working rights in Australia
  • Holds a valid P2 or Open driver’s licence and has access to a reliable, insured vehicle (travel across Greater Brisbane required)
  • Is willing to obtain First Aid and CPR certification
  • Is open to completing required NDIS training modules
  • Has strong communication, documentation, and basic computer skills
