We are seeking experienced Mental Health Support Workers to support a participant with complex needs in Melton South. This is a high-intensity support role requiring confident, skilled professionals with strong experience in managing aggressive behaviours and complex mental health presentations.


About the Role
In this role, you will provide person-centred support within a SIL setting, working alongside internal teams to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the participant. You will be required to respond to complex behaviours and support strategies in line with established care plans.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing 2:1 support in a SIL environment
• Supporting the participant with complex mental health and/or behavioural needs
• Managing and responding to aggressive behaviours using appropriate de-escalation techniques
• Following Behaviour Support Plans and clinical guidance
• Assisting with daily living tasks, routines and structured activities
• Maintaining accurate and detailed progress notes and incident reports
• Working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders  

About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A valid P2 or Open driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working with Children Check
• Minimum 3 years experience supporting clients with complex mental health and/or severe intellectual disability
• Proven experience managing aggressive or high-risk behaviours
• Strong understanding of behaviour support frameworks and de-escalation strategies
• Confidence working in high-intensity, 2:1 support environments
• Ability to remain calm, professional and resilient in challenging situations
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Availability to work across all shift types, including active night shifts
