Occupational Therapist

Kanda is seeking a compassionate and experienced Occupational Therapist (OT) to join our Veterans’, Aged Care and Community Nursing Services team, part-time (0.8 FTE) to full-time. This role supports clients transitioning from hospital to home, helping them live independently and safely.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct client assessments and develop tailored care plans
  • Provide functional support and rehabilitation to help clients live independently
  • Prescribe and manage DVA equipment, including installation and education
  • Work with hospitals, doctors, allied health, and funding bodies to coordinate care
  • Maintain accurate client records and meet compliance standards
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and audits

About You
  • Bachelor of Applied Science (Occupational Therapy) and current AHPRA registration (no conditions)
  • Experience in assessments, rehabilitation, and equipment prescription
  • Excellent communication and relationship skills with clients, families, and colleagues
  • Current Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle
  • Hold or willing to obtain NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
