Residential Care Worker

About the Role

 As a Residential Care Worker at Kanda, you’ll provide practical support, guidance, and care to young people experiencing vulnerability. You’ll play a key role in helping them build essential life skills, confidence, and independence, while ensuring their safety, wellbeing, and sense of belonging within the community. 

Programs located in: Shailer Park, Ormeau, Coomera, Pimpama, Helensvale and Upper Coomera.
  
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Provide hands-on care and guidance in a safe, supportive home environment
  • Support young people to achieve their individual goals through personalised care plans
  • Assist with daily living activities, education, self-care and recreation
  • Build strong, trusting relationships grounded in encouragement, consistency and emotional safety
  • Maintain accurate, professional documentation to support quality care

What You’ll Need
  • A current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
  • A Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligibility to obtain them)
  • Either hold, or be willing to enrol in, a Certificate IV or Diploma in a relevant field
  • While experience and progress toward a qualification are beneficial, they’re not essential. What matters is your understanding of complex support and your ability to help young people build independence.
