Open Recruitment Day - Bowen

As a Residential Care Worker at Kanda in Bowen, you’ll support a sibling group of young children aged 2–10 years in a warm, nurturing home environment. This role is ideal for people who are passionate about early childhood development, attachment and helping young children feel safe, supported and cared for.

You’ll play a vital role in providing stability, routine, and positive daily experiences that support each child’s emotional wellbeing, development and sense of belonging. Whether you’re experienced in care work or ready to begin a meaningful new career, we’d love to meet you.

What We’re Looking For

· A genuine passion for supporting children and young people
· Current driver’s licence (minimum P2)
· Working with Children Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening Check (or eligibility to obtain)
· Completed or studying toward a Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services, Youth Work, Social Work or a related field
· Experience with children or in related areas (disability, mental health, aged care, childcare) is preferred but not required — we welcome applicants eager to learn and grow
