CYF Case Manager

Kanda is looking for a hands-on Case Manager to join our Children, Youth & Family Services team in Emerald.
This role is ideal for someone who understands regional communities, enjoys being close to practice, and wants to make a real difference for young people locally - not from behind a desk.
You’ll support young people in residential care while leading and guiding a small team of residential care workers, ensuring safe, consistent, and person-centred care.
  
What You’ll Be Doing
  • Support young people through direct case management and relationship-based practice
  • Lead and support residential care workers through regular supervision and coaching
  • Develop, review, and oversee individual care and case plans
  • Work closely with Child Safety, schools, health services, and local community partners
  • Complete required documentation, reporting, and compliance activities
  • Step in on shift when needed to support the team and young people
  
About You
  • Experience working with young people in residential care, youth work, or child protection
  • Confidence supporting and guiding staff (formal leadership experience welcomed, not essential)
  • Sound understanding of trauma-informed and child-centred practice
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with young people and stakeholders
  • Relevant qualification or working towards one (Cert IV, Diploma, or higher in a related field)
