HR Operations Officer

Kanda is seeking a detail-orientated HR Operations Officer to join our team on a 12 month fixed term contact to cover parental leave. This full-time role, based in Bundaberg, QLD, plays a critical role in ensuring workforce compliance across the organisation. You will oversee and maintain HR operational systems and processes, ensuring adherence to all legislative requirements which in turn supports safe and high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance Management & Licensing: Track, monitor, and manage the expiry/renewal of mandatory certifications (Working with Children Checks/Blue Cards, NDIS Worker Screening Checks, AHPRA etc).
  • New Employee Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process, including issuing contracts, confirming pre-employment checks, and enrolling in mandatory training.
  • HR Systems & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate staff records in Employment Hero and other HRM/legislative platforms, ensuring data integrity.
  • Administrative Support: Manage email correspondence, record messages, and provide administrative assistance to the HR Operations team.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal departments and external bodies regarding compliance and certifications.
About You
  • Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years preferred) in HR administration, compliance, or onboarding, ideally within the community services sector.
  • Basic understanding of legislative and licensing requirements relevant to the sector (Child Safety, NDIS, Aged Care, Nursing).
  • Proficiency in HRM platforms such as Employment Hero and confident with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
  • High-level organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Hold or be willing to obtain a Working with Children Blue Card.
