Health & Safety Administration Officer

Kanda is seeking a proactive Health & Safety Administration Officer in Bundaberg, QLD, reporting to the Senior Health & Safety Advisor. You’ll provide administrative support, assist with safety operations, manage documentation, and deliver excellent service to the organisation, upholding Kanda’s values and commitment to quality and safety.

This is a 6-month fixed-term contract.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health & Safety Administration: Provide efficient administrative support for safety activities, including filing, minute-taking, and distributing safety equipment.
  • Records & Documentation Management: Maintain accurate Health & Safety records and documentation, ensuring compliance with organisational processes.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Track safety registers, manage upcoming due dates, and follow processes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Communication & Stakeholder Support: Monitor the shared safety inbox and respond promptly and professionally to enquiries from team members and business partners.
  • Safety Coordination: Assist with scheduling safety priorities, such as fire equipment servicing, and follow up with staff regarding reported WHS incidents or hazards.
  • Reporting & Data Entry: Prepare monthly WHS reports and update safety information in line with Safety Management Systems.

About You
  • Strong time management, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
  • Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly, calm, and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, email, and web-based applications.
  • Energetic, proactive, and “can-do” attitude, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Hold or willing to obtain: Working with Children Check, NDIS Worker Screening Check & unrestricted Driver's Licence.
