Data Officer

Kanda is seeking two organised and proactive Data Officers to join our team from January 2026. In this full-time role, you will play a key part in supporting accurate, secure, and reliable client data across the organisation. Working closely with frontline staff, operations, and IT, you’ll help ensure data is captured correctly and used to support effective service delivery and decision-making.

Kanda is a growing national health and community services provider delivering services across Clinical, Disability, Child Protection, and Aged Care, with a strong focus on quality, people, and sustainability.


Key Responsibilities
  • Data Support: Support office and frontline staff with data workflows, ensuring client data is accurately captured, updated, and maintained across systems. Provide guidance and best-practice advice to users.
  • Data Issue Resolution: Investigate and resolve data issues, from simple errors to more complex discrepancies across systems, ensuring records remain accurate and trustworthy.
  • Reporting & Insights: Develop, maintain, and improve reports and tools that help teams understand trends and support informed decision-making, while adhering to privacy requirements.
  • Training & Documentation: Deliver training on data processes and system updates. Create and maintain clear work instructions, guides, and documentation to support consistent data practices.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Identify recurring data issues, support improvements to data collection processes, assist with system upgrades or migrations, and contribute to strong data governance, privacy, and compliance practices.

About You
  • Previous experience in administrative, operational, or financial roles, with regular use of systems (no IT background required).
  • Strong ability to multitask, prioritise competing tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when managing and reviewing data.
  • Understanding of data quality, privacy, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain processes clearly to others.
  • Intermediate Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, lookups) and/or exposure to Power BI highly desirable.
  • Hold or willing to obtain: Working with Children Suitability Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening.
