Rostering Officer

Kanda is seeking a highly organised and proactive Rostering Officer to join our team in Brisbane. In this full-time role, you will play a vital part in coordinating efficient, accurate, and timely rosters that support seamless service delivery across our programs. Working closely with staff and internal stakeholders, you’ll help ensure we have the right people in the right place at the right time.

Office locations available in Spring Hill, Ipswich, Beenleigh and Capalaba.

Key Responsibilities
  • Roster Management: Create, update, and maintain staff rosters to ensure all shifts are filled efficiently. Monitor roster changes, staff availability, and workforce requirements across programs.
  • Shift Allocation: Ensure timely allocation of shifts to minimise disruptions to client support. Respond promptly to unplanned leave, cancellations, and urgent shift-filling needs.
  • Leave & Availability Processing: Process employee availability, leave requests, and roster adjustments in line with internal procedures. Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee scheduling records.
  • Timesheet & Payroll Preparation: Audit timesheets for accuracy and compliance with Award conditions. Liaise with payroll regarding discrepancies and support timely processing.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Track employee hours to ensure compliance with SCHADS Award conditions, fatigue management guidelines, and organisational policies.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide timely and clear communication with support workers, case managers, and leaders regarding roster changes, shift confirmations, and employee queries.

About You
  • Previous experience in rostering/scheduling and proficient in rostering systems, with ability to quickly learn new software.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise, and meet deadlines.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret the SCHADS Award.
  • Holds a current unencumbered Class C Driver Licence.
  • Hold or willing to obtain: Working with Children Suitability Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening.
