Disability Support Worker - Port Kennedy

Our services span disability and NDIS support, children, youth and family services, aged home care, veterans' care, and community nursing.  Kanda is seeking dedicated team members to provide meaningful support to people with disabilities. In this role, you will:
  • Provide direct care and support to individuals with varying disabilities.
  • Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Support individuals in attending medical appointments, accessing community resources, social inclusion, and wellbeing activities.
  • Monitor and document client progress and care provided.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other team members to ensure holistic care.

   Requirements:
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or be willing and eligible to obtain prior to commencement
  • Available to work across a full shift pattern (mornings, evenings and sleepovers)
  • Valid unrestricted drivers licence  
  • Experience supporting people with disabilities in community or residential settings
  • Experience assisting clients within all personal care, manual handling, feeding and Dysphagia
  • Medication, Dysphagia and Manual Handling certificates
