About the Role Kanda is seeking an experienced
Employment Relations Partner to join our People & Culture team. This full-time role is an advisory and support position, playing a pivotal role in delivering proactive, solutions-focused support across all aspects of employment relations. You will provide well-informed and professional IR/ER advice, assisting and supporting managers to effectively manage their employees, meet legislative requirements, and align with organisational policies.

Sunshine Coast, Capalaba, Beenleigh, Bundaberg, or Melbourne offices.
Key Responsibilities - Solutions-Oriented Advisory: Provide expert advice on employment legislation, workplace policies, and industrial instruments. Partner with leaders to proactively resolve workplace issues and implement practical solutions.
- Customer Service Excellence: Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, building strong relationships and delivering timely, tailored ER support.
- Case Management: Manage and resolve complex employee relations cases, including performance management, grievances, misconduct, and disputes. Conduct thorough investigations ensuring fairness and compliance.
- Policy and Compliance: Support the development, review, and implementation of employment policies and procedures. Deliver training and education sessions to build ER capability.
- Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with People & Culture and operational teams to drive initiatives that enhance workplace culture and contribute to organisational transformation.
About You - Relevant professional qualifications (Business degree in HR or similar preferred) along with at least 2 years of experience in an ER/HR role.
- Strong knowledge of current Australian employment legislation and modern awards, with practical experience in providing advice and solutions.
- Proven skills in workplace investigation, analysis, and problem-solving, with an ability to propose legislatively compliant solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong stakeholder relationships.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and sound organisational skills to manage competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Forms).
- Ability to work effectively both autonomously and within a collaborative team environment.
- Hold or willing to maintain a Working with Children Suitability Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening & unencumbered Class C Drivers Licence.
