- Be a positive role model and allow children to feel safe, build resilience and work towards positive future outcomes.
- Support children and young people to build positive and trusting connections with family, friends, and community.
- Support children and young people to make healthy lifestyle choices, access health care services and develop strong social and interpersonal skills.
- Provide outreach support to children and young people who are dis-engaged from placements.
- Provide the day-to-day care of all children in the residential care setting as required.
- Learn life skills in a planned and supportive way.
- Provide and participate in appropriate recreational activities for and with the children.
