People and Culture Advisor

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and proactive People and Culture Advisor to provide essential support and assistance to our People and Culture team, Corporate Services, and Executive teams. About the role
As a People and Culture Advisor, you will work collaboratively within the People and Culture Team to manage HR service demand. You will be proactive in developing and maintaining a positive workplace culture.

Under the guidance of the People and Culture Manager, you may provide advice and support on performance management, misconduct, workplace investigations, and grievance handling, ensuring compliance with Fair Work legislation. Some travel may be required as part of this role.
  
Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay updated on relevant HR policies, procedures, and employment law to provide high-standard advice.
  • Manage administrative tasks for the People and Culture Administration Team.
  • Respond professionally to general HR enquiries (email, TEAMS, phone) and escalate matters when necessary.
  • Compile reports, including statistical and survey data, and produce professional written correspondence.
  • Assist in developing and authoring policies, procedures, and forms.
  • Support managers on performance management, misconduct, investigations, and grievance handling, ensuring documented processes comply with policy.
  • Efficiently use Microsoft Office Suite and other corporate systems for P&C documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records.
  • Contribute to People and Culture strategies, projects, and initiatives.
  
About You
  • Preference for a business degree in Human Resources Management or similar, with at least 3 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated competency.
  • Essential: Hold and maintain an approved Working with Children Suitability Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening (for Risk Assessed Role), and a current unencumbered Class C Driver’s Licence.
  • Knowledge of current employment legislation and modern award interpretation (SCHADS, Clerks Private Sector, Nursing and Health Professional, Support Services Awards highly regarded).
  • Strong workplace investigation, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
  • IT skills, particularly with Microsoft Office Suite and corporate systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, accurate, detail-oriented, with sound planning and organisation.
  • Ability to work confidentially, with tact and discretion.
