SAP TM Functional Consultant

We are currently partnering with a well-established organisation in the transportation, supply chain and logistics industry to find an experienced SAP TM Consultant for an initial 9 month contract, with strong potential for extension and the possibility of a permanent opportunity.

This is a high-visibility role within a lean, collaborative SAP team, where you will take ownership of the SAP Transportation Management (TM) space. You’ll have the autonomy to make decisions, drive outcomes and become the go-to person for all things TM across the organisation.
About the role The organisation is undertaking a significant transformation program, bringing various legacy system sites across onto SAP ECC. You’ll play a key role in this work, while also taking full ownership of the ongoing SAP TM function.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Owning the SAP TM functional area across the business.
  • Supporting the migration and transition of various legacy system sites onto SAP ECC.
  • Working across the full TM lifecycle, from requirements and design through to implementation, testing and deployment.
  • Providing functional expertise and guidance to stakeholders across transportation and logistics.
  • Managing BAU support, incidents and tickets relating to SAP TM.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes, functionality and the overall TM landscape.
  • Working closely with a lean SAP team and broader business stakeholders to deliver outcomes.
  • Operating with a high degree of autonomy and accountability - this is your space to own.
About you We’re looking for an experienced SAP TM Consultant who is comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
You’ll ideally bring:
  • Strong hands-on SAP Transportation Management (TM) experience.
  • Experience working across SAP implementations, transformations, migrations or legacy system transitions.
  • A solid understanding of transportation, supply chain and/or logistics processes.
  • Experience providing ongoing BAU support and incident management in addition to project delivery.
  • The confidence to operate as the TM SME/owner within a lean SAP environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and the ability to work autonomously.
  • The ability to hit the ground running and take ownership from day one.
What's on offer?
  • 8-9 month initial contract, with strong visibility for extension.
  • Potential for the role to transition into a permanent opportunity.
  • High-visibility role with genuine ownership of the SAP TM function.
  • Work with a highly regarded organisation in the transportation, supply chain and logistics sector.
  • Collaborative culture with strong leadership.
  • Opportunity to play a key role in a significant transformation program.
  • 4 days per week on site in Melbourne + 1 day working from home.
Important requirements Melbourne-based candidates only.
This role requires a strong on-site presence, with four days per week on site in Melbourne, so candidates must be based in Melbourne and genuinely comfortable with this working arrangement.
You must also have full Australian working rights. Australian citizens and Australian permanent residents are encouraged to apply.
If you're an experienced SAP TM Consultant looking for a role where you can genuinely own your space, work autonomously and make an impact, we'd love to hear from you.
