Mobile Tech Lead | Greenfield App Build | 12-Month FTC | Up to $180K + Super | 3 days in office

Our client is building their first mobile app from scratch, React Native, backed by fresh C# APIs on Azure, with a hard go-live target of end of this year.
They need a Tech Lead to own the technical direction and get it into the App Store properly.

The role
You'll lead the technical delivery of the new mobile app and customer portal, that's your daily driver for the first 6months. There's a delivery partner doing the initial build, but  you'll have full authority over technical decisions. 

This isn't a pure mobile gig either. The APIs powering the app are being built in C# on Azure Integration Services, so you'll need enough backend depth to review the work, guide best practices and keep the whole stack honest. Not coding .NET every day, but comfortable enough to roll your sleeves up when it matters. From month 6, you'll extend across the broader API build as well.

What you'll bring
Around 8 to 10 years in engineering with solid React Native and React experience, and mobile apps you've actually shipped, not just maintained. You know what a real go-to-market looks like: App Store readiness, release management, the last-mile detail that makes or breaks a launch.

.NET and Azure exposure to hold your own on the backend. Financial services or any regulated-environment experience is a genuine bonus, the security posture of a finance app is a different beast to retail, but strong candidates from any background will be considered.

You lead from the front. Hands-on enough to earn the team's respect, senior enough to manage a vendor relationship without being steamrolled.

12-month fixed-term contract (potential for conversion in the future for the right person)
