Senior .NET Software Engineer

Sydney | Hybrid (2-3 days in office) | 12-Month Initial Contract | $950-$1,050 per day

We're partnering with one of Australia's leading retail and digital businesses as they continue to invest heavily in modern engineering platforms and large-scale transformation initiatives.

This is an opportunity to join a high-performing engineering team building cloud-native solutions that power millions of customer interactions every day.

You'll work alongside experienced technical leaders solving complex engineering problems across distributed systems, integrations and modern backend platforms.

We're looking for engineers who enjoy staying close to the code while contributing to technical direction and engineering best practice.

What you'll be doing

• Design and build scalable backend services using modern .NET and Azure technologies.
• Develop event-driven, distributed systems that support high-volume customer and business workflows.
• Build and evolve APIs, integrations and cloud-native applications.
• Contribute to solution design, architecture discussions and technical decision making.
• Collaborate with engineers, Tech Leads and Architects across multiple product teams.
• Mentor other engineers through code reviews and engineering best practice.
• Deliver high-quality, well-tested software within Agile delivery teams.

What we're looking for
We're interested in Senior Engineers who have experience across most of the following:

• C# / .Net
• Microsoft Azure
• Event-driven architecture
• Microservices
• REST APIs
• Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, Event Hub or similar messaging technologies
• SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• Docker and Kubernetes
• CI/CD pipelines
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and clean coding practices
