Program Manager – Retail Transformation & Technology

We're partnering with a major Australian enterprise embarking on one of the country's largest retail transformation programs. Integrating hundreds of retail sites into a single operating model, creating a rare opportunity for an experienced Program Manager to lead a business-critical stream of work.
This is an integration program where success depends on coordinating multiple projects, managing large-scale store deployments and delivering real business outcomes for customers and frontline teams.
Reporting to the Program Director, you'll take ownership of the Retail Program, leading several interconnected projects covering customer-facing technology, store systems and operational capability.
You'll provide leadership across a team of Project Managers while acting as the primary interface between Technology and senior Retail stakeholders, ensuring delivery remains aligned, governed and commercially focused.
What You'll Be Doing: - Lead a large-scale retail transformation program spanning multiple workstreams.
- Manage a team of Project Managers delivering concurrent initiatives.
- Drive program planning, governance, reporting and executive communications.
- Own dependencies, risks, RAID management and delivery sequencing.
- Coordinate complex technology integrations across retail environments.
- Lead rollout planning and deployment strategy for a national store network.
- Build trusted relationships with senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Present program status, risks and milestones at Steering Committee and executive level.
- Ensure delivery remains focused on business outcomes, customer experience and operational readiness.
Experience across: - Large retail transformation or integration programs
- National store rollout or deployment initiatives
- Enterprise Program Management
- Managing multiple Project Managers
- Executive stakeholder management
- Governance, RAID and Steering Committee reporting
- Technology integration programs
- Complex dependency management
- Customer-facing retail systems such as POS, loyalty, merchandising, inventory or back-office platforms
Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, business integrations or large-scale system rationalisation will be highly regarded.
