Full Job Description Scrum Master – Platform Rebuild / Product Delivery (Permanent) – Sydney FinTech

We’re supporting a growing fintech that’s entering a critical rebuild phase after several years of organic growth. They’re rebuilding their core application, standing up a new design system, and running multiple delivery streams in parallel all while keeping a live product running.

They’re looking for a Scrum Master who can step into complexity, organise the chaos, and keep delivery moving without imposing textbook Agile.

This is a permanent role, hybrid working (Sydney CBD), with genuine influence over how delivery is run during a major rebuild.

Salary guide: ~$150k + super (flexible for the right person)

What you’ll be working on
  • Bringing structure and visibility to multiple parallel delivery streams (live app, rebuild, design system, website).
  • Owning Scrum ceremonies in a pragmatic way that supports delivery, not process theatre.
  • Cleaning up and organising Jira so workstreams are clear, trackable and manageable.
  • Acting as the delivery glue between product, engineering, design and stakeholders.
  • Helping translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical work.
  • Reducing admin and coordination load on senior engineers and leadership.
  • Supporting stakeholder conversations and managing reprioritisation when it happens.
  • Creating a stable delivery rhythm during a full platform rebuild.
What they’re looking for
  • Proven Scrum Master experience in a product-led SME or scale-up.
  • Someone who can step into ambiguity and bring order without overengineering.
  • Strong organisational and coordination skills across multiple workstreams.
  • Comfortable working closely with engineers and understanding technical constraints.
  • Confident dealing with stakeholders and managing interruptions pragmatically.
  • Able to influence without hiding behind “industry standards”.
Experience that works well here
  • Scrum Master background in fintech, SaaS or digital product environments.
  • Technical literacy 
  • Experience wearing a Tech BA-style hat when needed.
  • Consulting or client-facing background.
  • Used to smaller environments where you’re expected to get involved beyond one narrow remit.
