Senior Communications Manager (Contract) 
We’re partnering with a leading Australian real estate and technology brand going through an exciting transformation following a recent acquisition.
They’re seeking a Senior Communications Manager (contract) to lead a small, established team through a period of change — ensuring continuity of both external and internal communications while helping to shape future direction.

About the Role
You’ll take ownership of a busy, consumer-focused PR function, managing two direct reports and maintaining a steady flow of media engagement, content, and internal communication during a critical transition period.
The role blends hands-on media relations with internal communication delivery and will suit someone confident managing people, processes and competing priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a small PR team delivering daily media engagement and story pitching
• Review and refine media releases, story angles and campaign priorities
• Manage relationships with consumer media outlets (TV, radio, print and online)
• Deliver weekly internal newsletters and ad-hoc internal communications via Slack
• Coordinate Christmas and H1 2026 planning, ensuring coverage and continuity
• Support leadership on corporate and internal communication initiatives

About You

• Background in journalism or PR with strong understanding of the news cycle
• Experience leading a consumer media press room or high-output PR team
• Confident writing, editing and shaping media stories and communications content
• Excellent organisational skills — process-focused, proactive and adaptable
• Thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments with limited structure
• Able to work autonomously and guide a small team with energy and calm leadership
