About Us REDed was established in 1999 and joined the Australian School of Performing Arts in 2023. Since its inception, REDed has remained committed to nurturing creativity and promoting the physical and mental wellbeing of its students through dance; school-based programs are currently offered in Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne and Geelong.
As home of the Australian Girls Choir (AGC) and Raw Energy Dance Education (REDed), the Australian School of Performing Arts (ASPA) is Australia’s leading children’s performing arts organisation. We are dedicated to empowering children through music, dance and performing arts.
About the role We are looking for
Dance Instructors and Trainees to join our team in 2025. In this role you will be teaching curriculum-aligned, as well as extra-curricular programs in schools. These roles will be based in Sydney suburbs: Bondi, Rose Bay, Vaucluse, Bellevue Hill, Daceyville, Lindfield and Stanmore.
Successful REDed applicants will have:
- A passion for education and the drive to champion the value of Performing Arts participation
- Experience (a little or a lot) in music, dance and/or performing arts education. It’s desirable but not necessary to have specific dance teacher experience. You might be an aerobics teacher or gymnast, or a trained dancer with an interest in teaching.
- Experience teaching groups of children between the ages of 5 and 11
- A qualification in education and/or your chosen art form or be working towards such a qualification (desirable)
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- Enjoyment of working with children and a valid Working with Children’s Check
Commitment REDed staff are booked for short term or long term contracts before, during and/or after school. Most of our casual staff members study or fill other roles in addition to the REDed work. We’re an
