About the role We are looking for a full-time Assistant Coordinator to support our long-term Coordinator within our well established OSHC program. Our OSHC is located on the beautiful grounds of St Mary’s Primary School in Manly and is open from 7:00am to 9am in the mornings and from 3:00pm to 6pm in the afternoons Monday to Friday during term time. During school holidays and Pupil free days the service runs a Vacation Care program from 7:30am- 6:00pm, Monday to Friday.
This is as a Permanent Full-time position Duties - Supporting the coordinator with the efficient day to day operation of the service.
- Regularly evaluating the program to ensure it caters for the interests and needs of school age children
- Ensuring compliance and best practice programming under the National Quality Standards and Regulations.
- Advising families about the program, policies and procedures when required.
- Where appropriate take on the role of Educational Leader within the service.
- Willingness to engage in professional development.
Requirements - Completion of CHCPRT025 "Identify & report children and young people at risk" certificate or willingness to obtain.
- Working With Children Check.
- Current First Aid in an Education and Care Setting or willingness to obtain.
Highly Desirable - Knowledge of regulation relevant to Outside School Hours Care under the Education and Care Services National Regulations and Law.
- Experience in working in Out of School Hours Care
- Experience as an Assistant Coordinator
- Qualification in Early Childhood
- Skills and experience in team leadership.
