Maintenance Planner & Capex Officer

The purpose of this role is to schedule maintenance activities, and to assist the plant in providing the necessary maintenance resources and record keeping.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for:

Procurement 
  • Coordinate spare parts purchasing by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment
  • Assure that approved work orders have the required parts, materials, and external resources
  • Obtain materials and equipment required to execute requested work
  • Manage Capital Expenditure (CapEx) procurement, payment, and capitalization processes
Scheduling 
  • Prepare and maintain a weekly maintenance schedule
  • Advise when scheduled maintenance downtime should be rescheduled and communicate and coordinate new plan
  • Ensure all labour hours, materials and necessary notes are recorded and work is closed in a timely manner
  • Maintain and execute the Preventative Maintenance System
  • Coordinate weekly & annual maintenance to critical equipment via work planning & scheduling meetings
  • Coordinate OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) service agreements and manage unplanned maintenance events
Reporting
  • Ensure all information is captured and generate reports as required for both inventory and SAP Maintenance systems i.e. Labour Efficiency, Spare Parts Re Order Levels, Open vs Closed Work Orders, Cycle Counts
  • Track all maintenance spending documenting weekly spend and assist Plant Engineering Manager in the budgeting process through monthly reporting and review
  • Track all CAPEX spending documenting committed spending and assist Project Manager in providing capitalization details


The successful applicant will have 3 to 5 Years of Experience in an Engineering Store/Warehouse. Strong computer skills, well versed with SAP, CMMS, MS Office applications with a Technical Diploma, Certification with knowledge for mechanical/ electrical components. Knowledge of SHE, 5S, Basic Project Management.
