The Role:Preacta are pleased to work with a leading financial services organisation delivering one of the most high-profile technology transformation programs in the industry. This complex, multi-year initiative is business-critical, requiring a highly experienced PMO Manager to drive governance, reporting, and program oversight at an enterprise level.
As a key leader within the program, you will
manage a small team of PMO Leads/Officers, ensuring best-practice delivery governance while engaging with senior executives, SteerCo, and regulatory bodies.
This is a
hands-on leadership role requiring deep expertise in governance, program reporting, risk management, financial oversight, and resource management. The PMO is embedded within the program and plays a critical role in ensuring visibility, structure, and control across all workstreams.
This role will provide direct exposure to:
- Executive & Project Steering Group (SteerCo) Reporting: Delivering clear, accurate updates on program status, risks, and key decisions.
- RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) Management: Ensuring proactive identification and mitigation of program risks and dependencies.
- Financial Management: Overseeing program budgets, cost forecasting, and financial tracking.
- Schedule & Milestone Management: Ensuring program timelines, critical path, and dependencies are effectively tracked and reported.
- Resource Management: Managing program-wide resource planning, workforce allocation, and forecasting.
- Scope & Change Management: Ensuring clear definition, tracking, and governance of program scope and changes.
This is a fast-paced, high-profile role best suited to someone
strategic yet hands-on, capable of managing both governance frameworks and day-to-day execution.
About You: - Proven experience as a PMO Manager within large, complex technology programs
- Strong track record in SteerCo and executive reporting, with experience engaging C-suite stakeholders.
- Hands-on experience managing RAID frameworks, program risks, and dependencies.
- Strong financial acumen with experience in budget tracking, cost forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Deep understanding of program scheduling, milestone tracking, and delivery governance.
- Experience in resource planning, workforce management, and capability forecasting.
- Solid knowledge of scope management and change control within large transformation programs.
- Ability to balance strategic oversight with hands-on execution.
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries is highly regarded.
- Proficiency in program management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Power BI, and advanced Excel.
- Strong leadership skills, with experience managing teams of PMO Leads and Officers.
