Currently recruiting for a Principal DevOps Engineer to join a global leading SaaS company in a permanent position based in Sydney.
 
As the Principal DevOps Engineer you will help us shape the global strategy and ensure the reliability of our globally distributed systems supporting our growing customer base all around the globe. You’ll play a key role in optimizing performance, maintaining high availability, and delivering scalable solutions. If you’re passionate about all things cloud, Infrastructure, automation and supporting scalable systems this role could be a great opportunity for you.
 
Day to Day task in this role:

• Automate Infrastructure: Design and implement secure, scalable, and predictable infrastructure solutions.
• Oversee and support both production and development environments.
• Implement robust and secure Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment pipelines
• Ability to manage large-scale environments with tools such as  SaltStack and Terraform.
• Linux/Unix Administration: Ensure high system availability and optimize performance.
• Networking & Microservices: Administer DNS, NAT, internet gateways, and maintain microservices architectures.
• Deep understanding of RESTful APIs and HTTP protocols.
• Automate real-time monitoring systems to maintain 99.95% uptime.
• Utilize Docker and Kubernetes to support scalable, shared infrastructure.
• Continuously staying on top of trend and new technologies to enhance System, infrastructure, security, and performance.
• Technical leadership and mentoring of Engineers

Skills and Experience Needed:

• Extensive experience within DevOps positions whilst still currently hands-on
• Solid hands on experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Multi - Cloud experience across Azure/AWS/ GCP
• CI/CD using tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Git.
• Previous experience in a Lead DevOps / Tech leadership role
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, and Go.
• Expertise with Kubernetes and Docker
