Platform Product Owner We are seeking a highly skilled Platform Product Owner to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of a critical technology platform. This role will operate as a horizontal enabler for multiple vertical teams, requiring a strong technical background, deep product expertise, and experience leading high-performing teams in complex enterprise environments.
You will define and execute the platform strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives while staying ahead of industry trends. Owning the API strategy and governance, you will prioritize features, manage the product backlog, oversee releases, and ensure technical excellence. Acting as the primary advocate for the platform, you will engage with stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams while driving executive-level discussions on platform performance and future investments.
A key part of the role is defining and tracking platform performance metrics, making data-driven decisions to optimize adoption and scalability. You will proactively mitigate technical risks, manage security and compliance, and oversee platform finances, ensuring cost efficiency and value delivery.
Key Requirements - Proven experience in platform product management with a strong understanding of API ecosystems, system integrations, and platform governance.
- Ability to bridge the gap between technical and business teams, translating complex technical concepts into strategic initiatives.
- Experience leading cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, business cases, and operational costs.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage executives and technical teams effectively.
- Strong analytical mindset, leveraging data-driven insights to optimize platform performance.
Mandatory Skills & Experience - 7+ years in technical product/platform development within large, complex organizations.
- Deep expertise in APIs, cloud platforms, DevOps, and modern software development methodologies.
- Experience working with customer-facing technologies (web, mobile apps, chatbots).
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing high-performing teams.
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
