Preacta are pleased to be partnering with this fast-growing, global fintech company as it seeks a Head of Fraud to lead it's fraud team, looking after the strategy across the Product Engineering domain.

This role is ideal for a forward-thinking fraud expert who thrives at the intersection of payments, eCommerce and operates at the cutting edge of fraud prevention. 

As the businesses' Head of Fraud, you will define and implement the fraud prevention strategy while leading a small but high-impact team of fraud analysts and ML engineers. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, operations, risk and data science teams to build best-in-class fraud detection solutions that safeguard customers and ensure frictionless transactions.

You’ll also be a thought leader in the fraud industry, comfortable speaking at industry events, workshops, and internal seminars to share insights and best practices.

What You’ll Do

• Lead & Innovate: Drive and implement the existing fraud strategy from an engineering and product perspective, leveraging AI and machine learning to combat fraud in real-time.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of 2 (fraud analysts & ML engineers), fostering a high-performance culture. This team will continue to grow
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO/CIO, data scientists, and product teams to integrate fraud prevention solutions into business applications.
• Industry Engagement: Represent the company at industry conferences across the globe, panels, and internal knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Hands-On Execution: Stay deeply involved in fraud detection frameworks, risk analytics, and product-driven fraud mitigation strategies.

What We’re Looking For

• Fraud Industry Trailblazer: Deep expertise in fraud within payments, digital commerce, and fintech.
• Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of fraud prevention technologies, machine learning models, and data analytics.
• Leadership Experience: Proven experience leading fraud teams within a tech, payments, or fintech environment.
• Public Speaking & Thought Leadership: Comfortable presenting at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
• Strategic & Hands-On Approach: Able to define high-level strategy while also diving into technical fraud prevention initiatives.
