Your job As Network Architect, you play a crucial role in moving business forward. You will work on documenting the Current State Architecture and next generation Network Architecture. You will focus on understanding the business requirements and how they most effectively translate into Architectures and Designs that align to our standards. We are evolving our IT landscape to ensure future proofing by actively integrating new technologies.
Key focuses are as follows: 1. Establish a solid foundation. We have constantly grown our business in the past, driven by tightening regulation and the need for more structured controls we need to establish a firm foundation of architectural standards covering datacentre, Network topology, building blocks, demarcations and traffic flows.
- Structure. Our organization is constantly working towards better controls to further strengthen our solid service delivery and maintain regulatory compliance across the globe. You will help structuring and creating approaches, processes and workflows to aid with regular routine tasks like capacity review, LCM planning, etc.
- Evolve. We are constantly modernizing and re-inventing our IT infrastructure. As the Network Architect, you will be involved in creating and documenting solutions that identify opportunities for enhancements and growth while maintaining a stable current state. Based on existing architecture, you will work on reviews and help creating evolutionary paths to integrate new requirements.
In alignment with our strategies and architectural principles: - Your role will be to create, update and structure designs, documents data structures and processes to model our environment comprehensively in a well-organized fashion following internal documentation conventions and using existing tools.
- You will explore the environment with the help of various teams to create comprehensive documentation covering our technical landscape
- You will furthermore evaluate existing documentation from our outsourcing partner to ensure completeness and alignment with of the documentation with the overall cause.
- You will, together with lead engineers, identify and create proposals for a future state architecture for network and network security building blocks.
You develop and maintain architectures in line with global target architecture, global policies, security standards and best practices to contribute to and increase the reliability, security, flexibility, quality and cost efficiency of the global organization.

What we need: You have a unique combination of practical experience with a passion for technology and have a strong interest to work in a global business. Your technology knowledge is up to date, but also aware of traditional approaches to allow you to bridge the gap. At the same time, you realise that our systems need to be up and running, the markets, our customers and our users depend on us.
You have a minimum of 5 years of work experience as a Network Architect within a comparably complex environment (high stakes, in- & external stakeholders, complex IT environment, different time zones and different cultures).
You have experience with general IT architecture and can think on conceptual level. You have strategic and analytical skills and the ability to understand, inspire and activate others.
