Currently recruiting for a GCP Lead Engineer to join a large Australian reputable business on a Day rate contract based in Sydney!
My client is currently in an exciting period of transformation and growth, amongst one of Australia’s earliest adopters of the Google platform and agile methodologies, we are now investing in future-focused IT solutions across our business for our customers.
As the GCP Lead Engineer you’ll work closely with Product Owners, Operations teams, Engineers, and partners to deliver Cloud Services across the enterprise environment.
You'll have deep engineering expertise and provide technical guidance and advice to other squad members, as well as close collaboration with the Engineering Manager to identify, implement, and drive improvements in the Engineering Practice, covering all squads.
Skills and experience needed for this role:
- Strong hands on experience with Google Cloud platform
- Kubernetes experience using GKS
- CICD - Cmofortable with a range of CICD tooling and building strong robust pipelines with security front of mind.
- Automation skills with particular experience in (Terraform Enterprise, Azure Devops, Github, Hashicorp Vault ) or deep expertise in equivalent DevOps toolsets.
- A security-first mindset aligned with SecOps / secure by design principles
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders as Snr Technical / Squad leader of a fast-paced Engineering Squad, and solve unexpected problems quickly and collaboratively
- A willingness and passion for technology, including the drive to continuously learn new skills
