Role Overview
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst with strong analytical skills and a technical mindset to support the delivery of this initiative. Reporting to the Delivery Manager and collaborating with a vast stakeholder landscape, you will focus on reverse engineering, data analysis, and defining business rules to bridge the gap between data structures and user experience requirements.
This role emphasizes stakeholder management, data mapping, analysis and business rule definition rather than user stories or SDLC tasks 

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Analysis and Mapping
    • Understand system data structures and in-house data accessibility.
    • Collaborate with API development teams to define data extraction, aggregation, and rendering requirements.
    • Use tools like POSTMAN and JSON to analyse API data and ensure accuracy.
  • Business Rule Definition
    • Work closely with SMEs (across dental, optical, etc.) to consolidate fragmented knowledge into cohesive rules.
    • Document and validate business rules in Confluence for stakeholder approval.
    • Reverse-engineer existing systems to identify data sources and transform requirements into user-friendly outputs.
  • Stakeholder Coordination
    • Engage with multiple stakeholders to gather insights, challenge assumptions, and drive consensus.
    • Ensure smooth communication across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Support Project Delivery
    • Assist in testing and validating rules against legacy systems.
    • Provide supplementary QA/testing support when required.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Strong experience with data analysis, technical data mapping, and understanding relational databases (SQL).
  • Familiarity with APIs, JSON, and tools like POSTMAN.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Azure and other cloud technologies
  • Prior experience in private health insurance or similar regulated industries preferred.
  • Familiarity with HAMBS or similar systems is a bonus.
  • Proven ability to analyse and document business rules in a highly data-driven context.
  • Strong reverse engineering skills, particularly in identifying data sources and defining requirements.
