Currently looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a leading banking client in a permanent position based in Sydney.
In this role you will work closely with product engineering teams to upskill and uplift their capabilities to drive higher levels of quality in development across the business. Working closely with software engineers, you will demonstrate best practices around reliability coding patterns, practices, and tooling.
This role will require hands-on experience in DevOps and Software Engineering at an enterprise level and know how to implement it with best practice. You will be an accomplished DevOps practitioner comfortable operating in a technological landscape of legacy and emerging technologies.
This role is a mixture of analysis, hands on and mentoring working closely with developer teams to uplift capabilities. You will be able to utilise your strong DevOps background and experience to support extremely critical, high-performance applications.
Skills needed:
- Strong hands-on experience working with GO/Golang
- Google Cloud experience
- Hands on experience in implementing DevOps toolchains in SDLC
- Usage of Kubernetes, Docker and CICD tools
- Infrastructure as Code experience – Terraform, Cloudformation etc
- Exposure to Linux Fundamentals
- Previous working knowledge of open-source technologies, and cloud services
- Understanding of microservices.
- Experience within Testing, Security, and Monitoring.
