Preacta are proud to be seeking a Senior Functional Business Analyst to join a leading FS business for a critical Workday HCM implementation.
This role involves working closely with stakeholders to gather, document, and translate business requirements for the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) module. The role is a day-rate contract running through to June 2026, based in Sydney.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document detailed functional requirements for the Workday HCM implementation, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational needs.
• Collaborate with HR, IT, and other business units to understand and document system requirements, workflows, and integration needs.
• Produce and maintain comprehensive documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, process flows, and system design requirements specific to Workday HCM.
• Work with technical teams to ensure accurate translation of business requirements into Workday HCM system configurations and customisations.
• Support project planning and scheduling with detailed documentation, ensuring a structured approach to the Workday HCM rollout.
• Lead user acceptance testing (UAT) and assist in the creation of end-user documentation and training materials to facilitate a smooth implementation.
• Conduct gap analyses, assess feasibility, and document findings to validate proposed solutions within the Workday HCM framework.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings to capture and align requirements, manage stakeholder expectations, and ensure clear communication.

Key Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with prior experience in Workday HCM implementation highly desirable.
• Previous experience working with any other HCM system will be regarded eg; SuccessFactors, Oracle
• Strong capability in producing detailed, high-quality documentation critical for HCM project delivery and knowledge transfer.
• Proven experience with requirements gathering and process mapping within HR systems or HCM software.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall project environments.
• Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques, with a strong focus on documentation, requirements management, and process mapping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration across business and technical teams.
