Great opportunity for a Network security Engineer to join a leading e- commerce client based in Melbourne starting with a 6 month contract.

As the Network Security Engineer within the Data Centre Team which is part of the Network Solutions team you’ll be responsible for the clients on Premise Data centre technologies and cloud environments, both production support activities and support the delivery of new initiatives.

Day to Day activities / tasks include:

• Engaging with tech leadership to manage workload allocation and setting expectations.
• Adhering to architectural guard rails and cyber policy in executing solutions, in line with risk, business and technical strategic objectives.
• Authoring complex implementation plans and configuration of network and security controls adhering to changes control practices.
• Providing oversight and technical guidance on projects, ensuring quality, security and timely delivery of fully tested solutions.
• Driving adherence to best-practice and improving standards.
• Identifying and capitalising on opportunities for process optimisation and task automation.
• Adopting an curious approach, staying up to date with emerging technology threats and opportunities.

  
Essential skills / experience needed:

• Cisco Routing and Switching – Adept with BGP
• Palo Alto NGFW, IPSec and SSL VPNs.
• F5 LTM and GTM
• Automation – Ansible, Github, scaler.
• Cloud environments experience (Azure, GCP and OCI or similar).

Desirable skills

• Arista DC Leaf & Spine – CvaaS
