Site reliability Engineer

Currently looking for a Observability Engineer / Site reliability engineer for a long-term rolling contract joining a client in the E-commerce sector with this position based in Melbourne.
  
This role presents a fantastic opportunity for you to work across a number of inflight projects supporting with the capability uplift of Observability standards within the group and you’ll be joining a team of very talent engineers.  This organization is well known across Australia and is regularly recognized for having one of the best cultures across for any Aussie business.
  
Experience needed for this role:
  • Experience implementing and supporting observability tools and frameworks within Kubernetes and Cloud hosted workloads.
  • Experience in creating visualization on relevant systems data with dashboarding technologies like Grafana and Kibana.
  • Experience configuring observability platforms like Dynatrace, Lightstep or Datadog at Enterprise scale.
  • Understanding of DORA metrics (MMTR, CFR, TBF etc) and demonstrated experience in using these metrics to drive improvement across the enterprise.
  • Strong and demonstrable passion for constantly learning and continuously improving in familiarity with industry-leading DevOps/SRE tools, best practices, and technologies.
Skills needed:
- Source Control: Git
- Continuous Integration: GitHub Actions (or Azure Devops), Team City
- Continuous delivery: Octopus Deploy
- Infrastructure Automation: Terraform
- Container Concepts, Orchestration and Cloud
- Working knowledge of Kubernetes (Ideally Azure AKS).
- Understanding of other Azure workload hosting technologies (Azure Web apps, Function apps, Container Instances)
- Scripting: experience with Bash and PowerShell Scripting

ELK (Elastic/Logstash/Kibana)
Grafana
Jaeger/Kiali/Prometheus
