Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Preacta are currently looking for a well-rounded Senior Infrastructure Engineer on a long term day rate contract for a well-known organization in their Sydney office.

In this role you'll get the opportunity to work with cutting edge technology and on multiple exciting projects that you can see taking place first hand. You'll get the chance to work on a variety of tech, projects, teams and solutions so every day in this role is challenging and exciting!


About the role:

• Understand business and project requirements and engage different Vendors to work on creating new solutions
• Evaluate and Compare solutions then work to implement these into the business environment 
• Create Proof of Concepts and run trails in the lab
• Collaborate with different stakeholders and teams internally to ensure succuss of implementation and that support teams have correct documentation
• Work on up to 10 different projects simultaneously and a variety of technologies including On-prem and Cloud  

The ideal candidate:

• Solid Infrastructure/Systems Engineering experience on a variety of technologies (on-prem and Cloud)
• Strong scripting experience with PowerShell
• Understanding of Networking and Security (firewalls, reverse proxy, network connectivity, etc) and the ability to engage with relevant stakeholders
• Ability to pick up and learn new technologies and adaptability to work on a variety of projects and solutions 
• Nice to have experience or exposure to Cloud (Azure) and Containerization (Kubernetes)
• Beneficial to have strong Linux experience
