About the Role 

We’re looking for a driven, commercially minded Business Development Executive who thrives on winning new business through proactive outreach, relationship building, and persistence. 
This is a hands-on sales role—ideal for someone who enjoys picking up the phone, opening doors, and turning conversations into real commercial opportunities. 
You’ll play a key role in growing ICE Group’s People Centred Services targeting decision-makers across public and private sector organisations. 
  
What You’ll Be Doing 

�� New Business Generation (Core Focus) 
  • Identify and target new clients through cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and referrals 
  • Build and execute a daily outbound sales plan with clear activity targets 
  • Engage directly with decision-makers to uncover needs and position ICE Group solutions 
�� Sales Pipeline & Opportunity Management 
  • Qualify leads effectively (needs, budget, decision-makers, timelines) 
  • Build and manage a strong, accurate pipeline in CRM 
  • Take ownership of early-stage sales cycles—from first contact through to handover 
�� Relationship Building 
  • Develop trusted relationships with prospects through consistent follow-up and value-led conversations 
  • Build a personal network within target industries 
  • Represent ICE Group professionally at events and networking opportunities 
�� Collaboration & Market Insights 
  • Partner with Marketing to maximise campaign leads and messaging 
  • Provide feedback on market trends, objections, and competitor activity 
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth transition of won business 
What We’re Looking For 

Essential 
  • Proven experience in sales, business development, or outbound calling roles 
  • Comfortable making high volumes of calls and proactive outreach daily 
  • Strong communication, persuasion, and objection-handling skills 
  • Highly target-driven, resilient, and self-motivated 
  • Experience using CRM systems to manage pipeline and activity 
Highly Desirable 
  • Experience in B2B sales (services, recruitment, payroll, HR solutions) 
  • Track record of hitting or exceeding sales targets 
  • Strong networking ability and relationship-building skill
