About the role The role of CFO will lead the largest team within Group Support (Finance) and work closely with the Managing Director, SLT and wider Group Business Directors in leading Payroll, Finance and IT. You will play a crucial and lead role in overseeing the financial operations and systems of the total Group while ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and accounting for the Group businesses as well as leading / contributing to major projects.
This role will focus on:
- Leading your team of seven direct reports within the Finance, functions through coaching, mentoring, and encouraging learning opportunities
- Overseeing all financial aspects of the business (financial performance and reporting), while providing technical finance expertise
- Nurturing a positive and collaborative culture and working environment that promotes engagement and high performance.
- Working as a strategic leader and trusted business partner to the Directors throughout the group, enabling the performance of each of the businesses, identifying risks, opportunities and solid solutions.

Skills & Experience
To succeed in this role you will have:
- Experience (preferably in a commercial environment) as a proven people leader with high EQ skills
- Proven experience leading teams, coaching, mentoring, and setting goals and expectations
- Experience with building and maintaining effective relationships and gaining the cooperation of a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Qualified CA (or equivalent)
- A growth mindset with a forward-thinking focus
- Ability to contribute to problem-solving, forming useful solutions and being one step ahead.
